- Ethan is a formidable combatant (GM’s note – high ranked Warfare) but he is less able to direct the battle whilst he is fighting in it. Nevertheless, his presence on the battlefield inspires his troops and he cuts a swath towards the enemy commander of the Dreadhorde.
- Attacking Angron directly proves to be a tactical mistake as Bolas’ general is insanely strong (GM’s note: same ranked Strength as Ethan)

- The battle between Ethan and Angron is brutal. Ethan is clad in Impervious (8 point) armour but Angron’s blows seem to pierce through Ethan’s armour. Surrounded by Dreadhorde, Angron is difficult to take down quickly. Even though Ethan believes that he is has the upper hand, he doesn’t seem able to defeat his opponent decisively and the longer the battle goes, the less influence he has over the battle as a whole (which risks Abigail, and Isabelle to a lesser extent).
- On his third attempt, Ethan decides to use a sorcerous spell (Mental Invisibility) to give him an edge. This lessens the effectiveness of the Dreadhorde as the invisibility has been proven to work on the undead. Ethan cuts Angron down at the cost of breaking his Eidolon weapon and receiving numerous wounds that seem to have bypassed his armour and cause great weariness. However, this victory seems makes little difference to the battle itself. The Dreadhorde are just as coordinated ever and it seems that defeating the general has done little to weaken the enemy.
- Meanwhile, Isabelle finds herself dealing with Tezzeret, a sorcerer who is a master of strange Wrighting-based magiks and artifacts. Despite having Wrighting based war machines of her own on the battlefield, she finds herself face to face with Tezzeret while their ‘machines’ and ‘golems’ fight one another. Isabelle is not used to fighting and the initial encounter goes very badly for her. Blasted and blackened, she continues to fight on, using ingenuity and trickery to even the odds. Over the course of the battle, Tezzeret clearly has the upper hand in the battle but Isabelle continues to tenaciously hang on….

- Around them, the battle rages with seemingly no end to Bolas’ grand army. On one flank two angels with flaming swords stand stoically watching the battle. On the other, two lords of hell watch impassively, waiting for something….
- Liliana feels the control of her undead army being tested. There is another necromancer on the field. Enjoying a challenge, she continues to play with her enemy, gauging their strength. There is something oddly familiar about her opponent…..
- With the arrival of a flight of dragons, Abigail, the archmage Emlyn the Grey and Macavity decide to confront the threat. Between them, they blunt the dragons’ offensive before they can seriously damage the Bloodstone army. Their leader, the dragonmaster Sarkhan joins the battle on the ground.

- Again, the battle between these two groups is inconclusive and drawn out. Abigail, Emlyn and Macavity manage to fell or temporarily disable the dragons, one by one, but the dragons are tough enough to recover and fight on. Even when Bambi decides to join the battle, it remains inconclusive. By the end of the third day of fighting, the forces of Bloodstone have the upper hand and the dragons have beaten back, but the battle has been hard fought. All parties are bloodied and battered. Emlyn the Grey in particular is looking very weary.
- Tired after hours of fighting alongside Stewart and Archer, Ethan withdraws and seeks out Liliana. On the way he attempts to contact Abigail via Icon but there is no response. He finds Liliana with her reanimated soldiers. She is tired but her resolve is still intact. Ethan uses some of his strength to bolster hers using Eidolon.
- That night, unknown to most, a group of Arcadian elves arrive in the Legendary Realm. Having Forestwalked from Arcadia, they join the Bloodstone forces ….
